Some say I’m a negative person

Let me explain. It is good to be positive, yes. But if your foundations are crumbling, and all you want to hear about is the latest fashion, the tastiest ice cream and the fastest car, you’ve got a huge problem coming your way.

When the foundations you rely on finally give way and collapse in total, you’d be unable to defend yourself; unable to see the big picture; unable to strategise a way out to safety. However, if you pay close attention to the worst problems, you will get to understand them. That will bring you knowledge and the ability to plan to avoid disaster by using lateral thinking.

As they say, in a war situation, to win, you need to understand the enemy intimately. When the earth systems are buckling under man-made pressures, as they are now, we need to understand how that is happening in order to overcome the projected result.

So if you choose to “only know nice things”, then I’m afraid to say you are contributing to the foundations’ crumbling. That is the same as turning a blind eye to the greatest threat to your survival ever documented. For these reasons, you need to know about, learn and understand how your world is crumbling. Otherwise you cannot avert the disaster we’re headed for.

But of course, there will always be those who choose to turn away and enjoy their last ice cream as the collapse buries them alive. You have a choice. My advice? Learn what’s going on.
